Ingredients for making the gravy
2 badi elaichi (big)
2 bay leaves
A spoon of cumin seed
One large onion chopped and mashed
Ginger and garlic paste a spoon each
One large tomato chopped
One tomato chopped and mashed with puree
4 spoon beaten yoghurt
Haldi powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, kitchen king. As per your choice.
Fresh one bunch of methi leaves, washed and leaves plucked
½ day methi leaves
Paneer cube or tofu in case of shortage
Chopped coriander leaf for garnish
When the pan is hot, pour oiland add jeera, bay leaf, badi elaichi and then add ginger garlic paste, onion paste and cook until brown.Combine curd and tomato puree in a bowl. Add all spices together in it and then add to the chopped onion paste. Etc. Cook well and add the methi leaves into it. Mix the sauce for 4 mintues.Add water and allow methi to cook. Make the paneer hot and grease in a griddle. Add the paneer in the gravy and mix well.
