Methi Muthia

A very special snacks from Gujarat again this particular dish is usually served for breakfast. You can steam it and also fry it. Here, I’ll explain how to do the fried version.

  • Methi Mathia Recipe
  • 1 Cup flour
  • ½ cup methi leaves
  • 1 table spoon semolina
  • 2 green chilies
  • ½ ginger paste
  • 1 table spoon curd
  • Chili powder | turmeric power, coriander powder as per needed
  • Lemon juice 1 spoon
  • 1 spoon sesame seed
  • 1 pinch baking powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry leaf
  • Oil

Wash the methi leaves and keep aside. Then dry out the water and chop the leaves finely. Take the atta, besan, sugar, turmeric, chili powder, with ginger paste, green chilly in a bowl mix it.
Add 3 spoons of oil, rub into the flour with finger tips. Add the chopped fenugreek leaves and lemon juice and again mix with hand. Make a dough out of the same and make small Croquette kind shape and deep fry it. Heat the oil and once hot add mustard seeds, let them pop.
