Methi Malai Mattas

The most magical contribution of methi leaves with fresh cream and green peas.

Rich & mindly special Vegetarian dish. I am sure you will enjoy this dish and you can win hearts of many.

  • 2 cups chopped fenugreek leaf ( methi leaves )
  • 1 cup fried or fozen green peas
  • ½ cup fresh cream
  • 3 table spoon fat free butter
  • ½ spoon jeera
  • Pinch of asafoetida

Make powder

  • Elachi | 2 cloves | ½ stick cinnamon

Paste Masala

  • 1 big onion 1 spoon khus khus, 1 ½ spoon cashewnut
  • 1 spoon curd, 1 spoon sugar, 2 green chillies
  • Chopped ginger

Soak the methi leaves in hot water 5 minutes and drain it out, remove excess water. Take the pan add butter and ad cumin seeds, after seed crackle add asafoetida and ground spices and sauté 3 to 4 minutes add on the powder and sauté 3 minutes.

Add green peas and methi leaves and malai ( cream ) and slowly cook till the gravy become thick. Serve with pulao or paratha.
